June 16 Opening of the activities of the 22nd Ismailia Festival
Scriptwriter Mohamed El-Basousy, head of the National Film Center, announced the new date for the 22nd Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentary and Short Films, which is headed by film critic Essam Zakaria.
The activities of the 22nd session of the festival are scheduled to start from 16 to 21 June, and for his part, “Al-Basousi” stated that final preparations are currently being made to hold a distinguished session worthy of the festival’s history, taking into account taking all preventive and precautionary measures to preserve the security and safety of our guests. It is noteworthy that the Ismailia Festival is held annually by the National Film Center in Ismailia Governorate.
The Ismailia Festival is one of the oldest festivals in the Arab world and the first Arab festival that specializes in documentaries and short films. Its first session began in 1991.
