„From a rough idea to a good scene“: Workshop with Anne Zohra Berrached, follow-up with a participation at Ismailia International Film.
When:
A selection from the participants of the two workshops will be invited to attend Ismailia International Film Festival for documentary and short films which will take place from the 14th of March to the 20th of March for a follow-up workshop conducted by Islam Kamal & Marouan Omara.
What constitutes a good scene? How do I manage to stage a functioning scene from a rough idea in the shortest possible time?
These are questions that Anne Zohra Berrached encounters in everyday life as a director. Everyone knows improvising a conflict is a way to quickly find a scene, but often it feels like it is too long and imprecise.
Anne Zohra Berrached is a German director and writer, known for 24 Weeks (2016), Two Mothers (2013), and Copilot (Die Welt wird eine andere sein) (2021).
Who can apply?
The Workshop is held in English. Participants should have a good command of English language and are interested in filmmaking.
