Inking of Egyptian-Moroccan cooperation protocol in 2nd day of Ismailia Film Festival
Egypt, Cairo | Thursday - 12 April, 2018:
Head of the National Center for Cinema Dr. Khalid Abdul Jalil and Head of the Moroccan Cinema Center (CCM) Sarim Fassi Fihri signed a joint cooperation protocol in cinema filed.
Ismailia Governor Major General Yassin Taher also attended the signing ceremony.
This came on the sidelines of the 2nd day of the 20th edition of the Ismailia Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts, led by Critic Issam Zakaria.
The ceremony was also attended by deputy head of the Moroccan Cinema Center Abdellatif Assadi and Head of Administrative Department Hassan Moutaqi as well as Dr. Mohamed El Adl, Mossad Fouda, Director Omar Abdel Aziz and Intishal El Tamimi.
They agreed on coordinating efforts at the levels of officials and filmmakers in film production in Egypt and Morocco. This aims at studying all capabilities that enable activating the cooperation protocol in order to foster bilateral ties in cinema field at public and private levels.
They also agreed on encouraging expertise exchange in cinema especially in the field of formation and continuous formation as well as periodically holding cinematic weeks.
They agreed on encouraging participation in festivals and cinematic meetings in Egypt and Morocco as well as the distribution of Moroccan films in Egypt and Egyptian films in Morocco. They also agreed on providing a list of films and encouraging the shooting of Egyptian films in Morocco and Moroccan films in Egypt to serve the film industry in Egypt and Morocco.
They also agreed on all the details and preparations concerning implementing the articles of the memorandum of understanding.
They also agreed on friendly solving any disputes over the explanation or implementation of this protocol through understanding channels between Egypt and Morocco.
