7 books by major critics and filmmakers at the 22nd Ismailia Film Festival
The management of the 22nd session of the Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentary and Short Films, scheduled to be held from 16 to 22 June, has prepared a group of important books on the history of Egyptian cinema and documentary cinema, written by a group of senior Egyptian writers, critics and filmmakers.
As for the books, they are "The History of Egyptian Cinema", which was written by the writer and critic (Mahmoud Qassem), and the book "Kamal Ramzy, the Visionary", which was written by (Dr. Hussein Abdel Latif).
And the book "Documentary Cinema...The Film Genre...The Fall of Borders and Restrictions", which was written by (Ahmed Abdel Aal, Diaa Hosni, Alia Talaat, Mohamed Sayed Abdel Rahim, Rami El Metwally).
And also the book “The Cinema of Reality… Its View of the Modernity of Contemporary Documentary Cinema” written by the critic and director (Salah Hashem), and the book “Pillars of Egyptian Cinema in the Twentieth Century” written by the great director (Hashem Al-Nahhas), and the book “Youssef Idris Bain” Literature and Cinema.” It was written by the great scriptwriter (Atef Bishai).
And finally, the book "The Faces of Truth, Trends and Experiences in Egyptian Documentary Cinema", which was written by the great critic (Safaa Al-Leithi).
It is noteworthy that the Ismailia Festival is held by the National Film Center headed by the scriptwriter "Mohamed Al-Basousy", and its 22nd session will be held this year from 16 to 22 June under the chairmanship of the film critic "Issam Zakaria". The Ismailia Festival is one of the oldest festivals in the Arab world and the first Arab festival that specializes in documentaries and short films. Its first session began in 1991.
