Ismailia for documentary and short films honors "Qalioubi"
The President of the 19th Ismailia Festival of Documentary and Short Fiction, announced the launch of the name of the late cinematographer and director Mohamed Kamel Qalioubi, in addition to the publication of a book entitled "The Quest for the Qalioubi" by Hussein Abdullatif.
The two awards will receive the honorary award of the late son of Rami Qalioubi, and an exhibition of Dr. Al-Qalioubi’s photographs will be held at different age and professional levels.
The 19th session of the Ismailia Film and Short Fiction Festival will be held from 19 April to 25 April under the chairmanship of Essam Zakarea and under the patronage of Dr. Khalid Abdul Jalil, Advisor to the Minister of Culture for Cinema and President of the National Cinema Center.
Mohamed Kamel El Qalioubi is an Egyptian director and author who has enriched the artistic life with a variety of works of art. His films include Adam's autumn, Atfrag Ya Salam, Stolen Dreams and his series Taste of Fire, After the Flood.
The late director passed away on February 2, 2017, at the age of 74.
